Scope and legal basis
BAW! operates a Philippine project marketplace. We process personal information in accordance with Republic Act No. 10173, the Data Privacy Act of 2012, its Implementing Rules and Regulations, and applicable National Privacy Commission guidance.
Information we collect
We collect account and contact details, profile information, skills, project and application details, messages, verification submissions, business details, device and security logs, and information you provide in reports or support requests. Precise location is optional and is used only for features that need it.
How we use information
We use it to create and secure accounts, match people with projects, operate communications, verify credentials, prevent fraud, resolve reports or disputes, improve the service, and meet legal obligations. We do not sell personal information.
Sharing and retention
We share only the information needed with other project participants, authorized BAW! staff, service providers acting under safeguards, or authorities when required by law. We retain data only while needed for the service, legal obligations, fraud prevention, and dispute handling, then delete or de-identify it where appropriate.
Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, objection, restriction, or a copy of your personal information. You may also complain to the National Privacy Commission. To make a request, contact BAW! through the in-app reporting channel and include “Privacy Request” in the details.
Security and updates
We use access controls, private file storage, signed links, and audit records to protect data. No service is completely risk-free. We may update this notice when our practices or legal requirements change; the effective date above will be revised.
